Using the Trace option

While the Call Processor is logging and processing calls it’s also keeping track of all the errors which occur on your system.  If Trace has been activated it also keeps a log of all the activity of this utility so that you can view the error log at any time.  Error logs are technical tools to help you diagnose problems with your system.

1.  Right click the Call Processor icon in the tooltray at the bottom of your screen.

2.  To view the log of all system errors click the View Error Log option.  The file displayed in this log is called callisterr.txt and can also be viewed using the Callista First Aid option.  You can use this log to troubleshoot multiple and persistent errors in your system.

3.  To delete all entries in the error log, click Empty Error Log.

4.  If you have activated the Trace option at the Communications Monitor, you can view the trace log here.  Click View Trace Log to display the callp.raw file.

5.  To view special Call Processor parameters and to set up and maintain configurable PABX drivers, click Advanced.
