Setting up the location of call archives

When the Call Processor logs calls, it makes an automatic copy of each call and archives it so in the event of database corruption, calls can be restored to your system.  This feature of the Call Processor provides you with automatic fall back/roll forward functions without any user intervention.  If the call archives are stored on another PC on your network and the network drive becomes unavailable, the Call Processor will store your call archives on the local C:\ drive and it will automatically transfer calls to their usual location when the network drive is available again.  Every time you change the location of the weekly archives, Callista will record this change.

When you install Callista it’s extremely important that you select the drive on which the weekly archives will be stored.

1.  Double click the Call Processor icon in the tooltray at the bottom of your screen.

2.  Click Configuration.

3.  Click Log Information.

4.  In the Selected directory field select the location for your weekly call archives and click OK.  This location can be a local drive or a network drive.

5.  Click Save.

PLEASE NOTE : Automatic fall back/roll forward functions are not available in Callista®Light or Callista® Light BDI.

If you are re-installing Callista on the same PC you can also use the Log Information feature to quickly find and set :

The configuration setting for your PABX.  Click Search to display a list of these settings.  Highlight the settings for your current PABX type and click Set as current.  Your PABX configuration will be re-set to these parameters.  This is an extremely useful feature if the Callista PABX list has been updated and your PABX is no longer listed or it has been re-named.
