Logging calls to a file

If you use this option your PABX must have the ability to output call data to a file on a PC on your LAN.  Callista will scan this file every 20 seconds (this is a default time but you can increase this time if you choose), make a temporary copy of it and process data from this temporary file.  This means that call logging can continue uninterrupted and without losing any calls.  When calls in the temporary file have been processed, Callista will delete the temporary file.

1.  Double click the Call Processor icon in the tooltray at the bottom of your screen to display the Call Processor.

2.  Click Configuration.

3.  Click the File tab.

4.  In the Output file field click  … (Browse) to locate the file your PABX is outputting data to and select this file to enter it automatically in this field.

5.  In the Read data interval(s) field select how often (in seconds) you want the Call Processor to scan the Output File for data and copy it to the temporary directory for processing.

6.  Check the Multi lines SMDR checkbox if your PABX outputs more than one line of SMDR data for each call so that the Call Processor can locate the start and end of each call record.

7.  The Temporary directory field automatically displays the name of the directory into which the temporary call file has been placed for processing.  This file is deleted as soon as processing is complete.

8.  Click Save.
